In the event school should need to close
for an emergency situation, the county is asking parents to continue
instruction at home. Below you will find a list of activities that we
ask you to do with your child in the event that Capron Elementary
should have to close.
Day 1

Have your child write their spelling words three times each.

Have your child write their numbers 1 to 100, counting by 1's.

Have your child tell you what a good citizen is and give examples.

Have your child write their letters .( alphabet / number words)
Day 2

Have your child write their spelling words in Rainbow style.

Have your child write their numbers 1 to 100, counting by 5's.

Have your child draw and label two
of the following American Symbols: (Bald Eagle, American Flag, Liberty
Bell, Statue of Liberty,Washington Monument)

Have your child write their letters .( name/ alphabet)
Day 3

Have your child write a sentence for five spelling words.

Have your child write their numbers
from 1 to 20, counting by 2's.

Have your child locate the state of
Virginia on a United States map.

Have your child practice writing their letters .( color words )
Day 4
-
Have your child write a sentence for
the remaining spelling words.
-
Have your child complete a pre-test of their spelling words.

Have your child write their numbers , backwards, from 20 to 1.

Practice addition facts with your child.

Have your child locate on a map ,a Map Key and Compass Rose.
Day 5

Complete a spelling test with your child on their spelling words.

Have your child write the ordinal numbers .

Have your child practice writing
their alphabet .(lowercase and uppercase)

Have your child draw a circle,
triangle, square and rectangle , labeling each.

Practice addition facts with your child.
